Role and Responsibilities
As a Bartender at Protea Hotel Midrand, you’ll be an integral part of our food and beverage team, delivering exceptional service that leaves a lasting impression on our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
Crafting Exceptional Beverages
Create and Serve Signature Drinks: Craft beverages using established recipes with precise measurements, ensuring consistency and quality. Wine and Champagne Presentation: Serve wine and champagne with elegance, including proper presentation and service techniques. Garnishing and Presentation: Add fresh, visually appealing garnishes to elevate the drink experience for our guests.
Bar Maintenance and Cleanliness
Maintain a Tidy Work Environment: Keep the bar area, equipment, and tables clean, organized, and ready for service at all times. Stocking Essentials: Ensure the bar is fully stocked with necessary supplies, such as glassware, ice, garnishes, and tools. Replenish as Needed: Regularly monitor and communicate the need for restocking items to prevent service delays.
Customer Service and Payment Handling
Engage with Guests: Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, offering friendly, attentive service that encourages repeat visits. Accurate Payment Processing: Handle various payment methods with accuracy and manage end-of-shift bank reconciliation and cashier reports. Closing Responsibilities: Complete end-of-day
