Reporting To: Outbound Shift Manager
Responsibilities: As the Distribution Center Champion, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the department’s organization and effectiveness to support the company’s objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Implementation of improvement processes, ensuring cost reduction and optimized working capital. Maintaining a safe, orderly, and clean work environment for all staff. Reviewing daily operational reports to address and resolve discrepancies promptly. Establishing and supervising control measures to rectify mistakes and inaccuracies.
Ensuring timely completion of all processes and collaborating with line Managers for daily planning. Providing guidance to DC Assistants, emphasizing accuracy, speed, and attention to detail. Managing departmental outputs, upholding quality and quantity standards. Meeting productivity targets and maintaining a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) task sequence. Addressing escalated operational queries from the team expeditiously.
Key Attributes: We are seeking candidates who possess the following attributes:
Proficiency in warehouse management systems. Strong problem-solving abilities. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills suitable for a customer-focused environment. Effective personal organization and modern business administration skills. Capacity to perform efficiently under pressure with keen attention to detail.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and seek continuous improvement. Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and work ethic. Flexibility and adaptability in a multicultural team setting. Ability to train staff effectively.
Qualifications:
Matriculation or equivalent qualification. Tertiary qualification would be advantageous. Demonstrated relevant experience in Picking, Packing, Receiving, Supplier Collects, and Inventory (within applicable DC departments). 4-5 years of warehouse experience. 1-2 years of supervisory experience or exposure preferred.
