In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and standards of our production processes. Duties & Responsibilities:
As a QC General Worker at Phakisa Holdings, your key responsibilities will encompass:
Sample Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of in-process samples using SUBINITE PTY (Ltd) methods. Compare these samples with established standards by precisely measuring dimensions and examining functionalities.
Production Line Adherence: Ensure that the production line adheres to set standards and operating procedures. Identify and report any deviations promptly. Blueprint and Specification Review: Examine blueprints and specifications to ensure they align with the produced standards. Identify and address any discrepancies.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inspection results by diligently completing reports. Summarize any necessary rework procedures and communicate them effectively. Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to the production team on quality control measures. Collaborate with colleagues to improve product excellence and maintain consistent quality standards.
Equipment Monitoring: Continuously monitor the use of equipment to verify safety compliance. Identify and promptly remove any equipment that fails to meet safety and quality requirements, such as scales or other measuring instruments. Precision Measurement: Utilize various measuring devices, including digital thickness gauges, to measure and verify product specifications accurately.
Defect Analysis: Investigate the root causes of product defects and oversee rework processes to ensure that products meet quality standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Grade 12: A minimum of a Grade 12 qualification or equivalent educational background. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and address quality-related issues. Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and math skills to calibrate measuring devices and measure product specifications accurately.
Equipment Operation: Ability to operate various measuring devices, gauges, meters, calipers, and computers with precision. Standards Understanding: An in-depth understanding of company standards and quality control procedures. Team Player: A commitment to teamwork and collaboration to achieve collective quality goals.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods of time during inspections. Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work alternating shifts, including night shifts, as required by the production schedule.
Package & Remuneration:
The hourly wage for this position is set at R26.80 per hour, reflecting our commitment to fair compensation and recognizing the importance of your role in maintaining our product quality standards.
Shift Schedule:
The role involves alternating between day shifts and night shifts, offering flexibility in work hours to accommodate production needs.
