Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced bartender to join the Choo Choo Junction team. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling the demands of a bustling bar, possessing the skills necessary to mix, shake, and serve a wide range of cocktails. Key Responsibilities:
As an experienced bartender at Choo Choo Junction, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Cocktail Craftsmanship: Skillfully preparing a variety of cocktails with precision, consistency, and creativity, ensuring an exceptional drinking experience for our guests. Customer Engagement: Interacting with patrons in a friendly, engaging, and professional manner, providing recommendations, taking orders, and offering a memorable experience.
Beverage Knowledge: Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of our beverage offerings, including spirits, wines, and beer, to provide expert guidance to guests. Bar Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Inventory Management: Monitoring and controlling beverage inventory, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Safety and Compliance: Adhering to health and safety regulations, responsible alcohol service practices, and ensuring patrons’ well-being. Team Collaboration: Working closely with bar staff and servers to ensure efficient service and a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
Bartending Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment. Mixology Skills: Proficiency in crafting a wide range of cocktails, including classic and contemporary recipes.
Language: Proficiency in English is required to effectively communicate with patrons and team members. South African ID: Possession of a valid South African ID is mandatory. Shift Availability: Willingness to work day and night shifts, with preference for candidates who can work during both.
