Essential Requirements:
To excel in this role, the following requirements must be met:
Grade 12 Certificate: A Grade 12 certificate is required as a fundamental educational qualification. 1 to 3 Years of Experience: You should have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the security field.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
As a Security Officer at Compass Medical Waste Services, your key areas of responsibility include:
PSIRA Registration: You must possess PSIRA registration, demonstrating your commitment to professional security standards. Professional Security Service: Provide top-notch professional security services to Compass Medical Waste Services. Security Measures: Conduct searches, patrols, checks, and challenge unauthorized access to the premises, ensuring safety and security.
Loss Prevention: Be vigilant in detecting irregularities and contribute to loss prevention, adding value to the business. Administrative Duties: Maintain records, books, and reports, and ensure control of registers and documents under your jurisdiction. Effective Duties: Execute your duties professionally, effectively, and efficiently, especially in providing access control.
Policy Implementation: Implement and advise on new security procedures and policies that enhance security and benefit the business. Training Compliance: Comply with all necessary training, exercises, and requirements to maintain optimal performance. Front Desk Security: Assume duties as front desk security personnel, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment.
Reporting Irregularities: Report all irregularities to higher management promptly. Breathalyzer Testing: Conduct breathalyzer tests on all staff, visitors, and contractors entering the premises.
Desired Skills:
- PSIRA Accreditation: Being PSIRA accredited is a must for this role, demonstrating your commitment to professional security standards.
Desired Work Experience:
- 1 to 2 years in Refuse Collection & Recycling
- 1 to 5 years as a Security Guard
Desired Qualification Level:
- Certificate
