Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Consultant, Cash (Level 1) in the Personal & Private Banking segment. This full-time position is located in Kathu, Northern Cape, and will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our walk-in customers. As a Consultant, you will handle various cash and card-related inquiries, including transactions at tellers, ATMs, and MoneyGram services. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about customer service and has a keen understanding of banking processes.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to interact with customers as they arrive at the branch, addressing their needs and ensuring that their requests are handled efficiently. You will take on a variety of tasks related to cash and card services, including Customer Interaction: Engage with walk-in customers to understand their requirements related to cash transactions, card services, and MoneyGram services. Your ability to listen actively and assess their needs accurately will be key to delivering excellent service. Transaction Processing: Facilitate smooth transactions at the teller, ensuring that all processes are completed accurately and in compliance with bank policies. Your attention to detail will help minimize errors and enhance customer satisfaction. ATM Support: Assist customers with any issues related to ATMs, including withdrawals, deposits, and card-related inquiries. Your technical understanding of these machines will be beneficial in resolving customer concerns swiftly.
Financial Offerings: Be knowledgeable about the bank’s financial products and services, enabling you to provide customers with relevant information and guidance that aligns with their needs.
Experience Required
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
Educational Background: A minimum qualification of NQF Level 5, which is aligned with FAIS requirements. This educational background provides a strong foundation for understanding the banking sector and its regulations. Relevant Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in client coverage, specifically within personal and private banking. Previous branch banking experience is essential, as it will give you a clear understanding of the policies and procedures related to teller operations, bulk cash handling, and ATM functions.
Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with the legal aspects surrounding cash handling is crucial. Understanding these regulations will help ensure compliance and build trust with customers. Interdepartmental Knowledge: An understanding of the functions of other departments within the branch will enable you to assist customers more effectively and improve overall service delivery.
