Key Responsibilities
As a Shop Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service Excellence
Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assisting customers with inquiries about products, promotions, and services. Delivering a positive and helpful shopping experience, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Sales and Transactions
Supporting customers with purchases and providing recommendations when needed. Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system for accurate and efficient transactions. Managing cash handling responsibilities, ensuring all payments and records are accurate.
Stock and Inventory Management
Monitoring stock levels and ensuring the shop is consistently well-stocked. Assisting with restocking shelves and displays as required. Conducting quality checks on products to maintain the high standards Sea Harvest is known for.
Shop Maintenance and Presentation
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the shop at all times. Ensuring that displays are visually appealing and aligned with company standards. Managing waste and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.
Collaboration and Teamwork
Working closely with team members to meet daily operational goals. Supporting colleagues during peak hours or challenging situations. Reporting any issues or concerns to supervisors for resolution.
Other Duties as Assigned
Performing additional tasks as required to ensure smooth shop operations. Being proactive in identifying ways to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience A minimum of mid-senior level experience in a retail or FMCG setting is required. Previous experience in seafood or food retail is an advantage. Interpersonal Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with customers and team members alike. Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
Customer Service Focus A dedication to providing excellent service and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively. Attention to Detail A keen eye for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and product quality.
