Role Overview:
We are looking for diligent and vigilant Security Officers to help safeguard our clients’ assets, premises, and personnel. As a Security Officer at JSM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ facilities by maintaining a strong presence, monitoring for suspicious activity, and responding to incidents with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a visible and authoritative presence to deter unauthorized access and prevent incidents. Patrol assigned areas and conduct routine security checks to identify and address potential security risks. Monitor security systems and alarms to promptly respond to emergencies or security breaches. Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients, employees, and visitors with inquiries and directions.
Report and document security incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with other security personnel and law enforcement agencies when necessary. Follow established security protocols and procedures to ensure consistent safety measures. Stay updated on industry best practices and security trends to continuously enhance your performance. Conduct thorough security assessments and recommend improvements to enhance overall safety. Participate in ongoing training programs to maintain and improve security skills.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role is preferred. Strong observational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while handling security incidents. Familiarity with security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and security-related software. Good physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. A valid security license or certification is an advantage.
