Job Description:
Main Purpose of the Job:
The primary objective of a Control Room Operator is to manage incoming signals and oversee the monitoring of all Response and Patrol resources to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Qualification and Experience:
- Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric)
Responsibilities and Duties:
Administration:
Monitor and respond to both emergency and non-emergency signals. Initiate contact with premises, clients, and key holders as required. Accurately record all relevant information related to activations using computer systems. Document and report all incidents and accidents to the senior staff on duty.
Ensure that all administrative tasks and signal management are efficiently handled. Monitor and respond to vehicle violations. Maintain and update timesheets as necessary.
Computers and Equipment Management:
Promptly report any equipment or system faults to the appropriate authority on duty. Refrain from using company telephones for personal calls. Adhere to safety and zero-harm standards for effective use of equipment.
Tidiness of the Monitoring Centre:
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation for efficient operation.
Client Liaison:
Provide telephonic assistance to address client problems or complaints. Regularly update client information, such as holiday instructions or other relevant details for transfer to Monitoring Associate IV/V.
Report any faulty alarm systems through the appropriate channels. Record and report potential sales leads to the relevant department.
General:
Possess in-depth knowledge of all aspects related to your position. Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions. Avoid using company telephones for personal calls.
Standard Operating Procedures:
Strictly adhere to the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Meet and maintain agreed-upon service levels and performance targets. Uphold a high standard of service.
Ad Hoc:
- Assist with other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required by the company.
